Types of DEMAT ACCOUNT

Online accounts called demat accounts hold securities such as bonds and shares. In electronic or dematerialized form.The demat's purpose for all investors is the same, but there are different types of demat accounts available for different investors.

What are the different types of demat accounts?

There are three main types of demat account:

Regular Demat Account:

An Indian investor can use a regular demat account.

Repatriable Demat Account:

NRIs can use this account to transfer funds abroad. This type of demat account must have an NRE bank account.

Non-Repatriable Deposit Account:

NRIs can use a demat account to hold funds that cannot be transferred overseas. This type of demat account needs an NRO bank account.
